Waking Night Support Worker

Job description

We are looking for compassionate, proactive and enthusiastic Waking Night Support Workers to join our friendly staff team providing excellent care and support to people with learning disabilities and/or autism at our supported living service in Woodlands, Doncaster.

Doncaster Supported Living Services supports service users with learning disabilities, physical needs, autism, challenging behaviours and other complex needs. Our teams in Woodlands, Doncaster provide support across a large number of shared or single occupancy properties around in the community. You will provide outcome focused support to enable clients to lead fulfilling and valued lives, maintain their tenancies, participate in their local community, develop independent living skills and achieve their personal goals and desired outcomes.

Your role will include:

• Providing personal care, administering medication and helping with other domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning,
• Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities both within and outside their homes,
• Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest,
• Full time or part time hours to be worked flexibly according to the needs of the service.

No previous care experience is needed, just a passion for providing person-centred care and support and working in a bright, friendly environment! Full training is provided by our Creative Support Training Academy, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
