Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are 6 month relevant experience within the last 2 years.

The role

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an Outreach Support Worker to work in a specialist school in Halifax to support a secondary aged learner with Autism. This will be a 1:1 role working with a specific young learner who will need support and encouragement fulfilling their daily routine in and outside of school. Outreach Workers play an important role in helping to create structure and a positive experience in the students' academic learning therefore we are looking for a committed, hardworking individual to join the team. This is a full-time role to commence in January 2022 and access to business insurance / your own car is essential.

Requirements

To be considered for the Outreach Support Worker role you must:

Have some knowledge and experience of working with challenging behaviours and SEND
Be adaptable and proactive, able to deal with challenging behaviour effectively
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
Have Team Teach training or be willing to attend the FREE course held by Vision for Education
