Your new role
The focus of this role is to support, maintain and develop all aspects of IT infrastructure; ensuring solutions meet business needs, are proactively monitored, and maintained, meet our security and internal procedures and the appropriate supporting procedures are documented. Alongside BAU activity this role will play an active part in the architectural design of key IT Infrastructure.
This is an ideal role for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer looking for the next step up and\/or an Infrastructure Manager who has a variety of strong technical knowledge who can lead a team.

Responsibilities
Lead the support, maintenance, and development of Infrastructure Service Delivery
Provide additional technical expertise to support both BAU, 3rd line support and IT Change activities
Maintain, monitor, and support the enforcement of IT and ISO27001 policies and procedures
Support the implementation of disaster recovery planning
Proactively monitor the IT infrastructure estate
Ensure mechanisms are in place to effectively monitor IT infrastructure including Capacity Management, system performance, patch management, environmental controls etc
Assist the Head of IT Security and Infrastructure with shaping the overall IT Infrastructure Strategy, Portfolio, and improvement plans.

Experience needed
Experience of leading and developing teams towards the accomplishment of a common goal whilst ensuring work is shared across the team.
Strong understanding of networking and the OSI model (TCP\/IP \/ Firewalls \/ WANs LANs and the security configuration)
Strong knowledge of networking vendor technologies - Cisco, Aerohive
Strong knowledge of M365 and underlying infrastructure
Understanding of a windows server and desktop environments including device management (Intune \/ SCCM) Good understanding of virtualisation and storage technologies (VMware \/ SAN)
Experience of working closely with all IT teams including 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line, IT Change and Security functions in effective partnership.
Experience of working in an IT support role at 3rd line: managing IT incidents, requests, problems, and changes in line with industry best practice (ITIL).
Managing third party suppliers effectively, ensuring adherence to SLA's and security best value.
Excellent planning, organisational and administration skills
Good knowledge of IT security and data protection practices.
Strong skills in collaborative working and establishing key stakeholder relationships.
