Through partnerships, collaboration and The Good Growth Plan we are committed to improving farm productivity, rescuing land from degradation, enhancing biodiversity and revitalizing rural communities.Role Purpose:We are seeking an apprentice trained Instrument (Control) Maintenance Technicians to work in our Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre (HMC).The role will require you to carry out planned preventative routine maintenance, breakdown maintenance and inspection and testing of equipment. Other duties would include 1st line defect identification & elimination through use of effective problem-solving techniques, carry out and refine maintenance routines, Read and interpret manufacturers' drawings and manuals to develop and generate test / maintenance procedures.You will be a great fit with the following knowledge:An in-depth knowledge of the relevant engineering systems, equipment & proceduresA working knowledge of SAP or relevant CMMS packagesKnowledgeable in overall plant systems and interactions of processes.Aptitude to develop, follow & continuously improve checklists, procedures and processesAbility to liaise with technical staff at all levels and across all functional areasHigh Standards of work with attention to detailEffective at planning, scheduling and co-ordinating workWorking to and promotion of Operational excellence principlesDemonstrate capability to work on their own or within a team for the teamEffective communication at all levelsGood at problem solvingUnderstanding of electrical safety and regulations including Electricity at work regulations 1989, CPR and risk assessmentQualificationsRelevant apprenticeship plus hands on experience in a similar role.Relevant craft qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ CG2395, CG2382) or HNCUnderstanding HSEQ Standards & requirements and their application, through safe systems of work, to working on a Top Tier COMAH siteDesirable but not necessary QualificationsC& G 2395 Periodic Inspection and testingC&G 2382 IET requirements (BS7671)COMPEX (1 to 6 and 12)Additional info:Full time role based in HuddersfieldCompetitive salary and benefits scheme31.5 annual holidaysSyngenta is committed to achieving workforce diversity and creating an inclusive working environment.
