Drainage and Plumbing Engineer

Permanent

£27,100 - £29,000 (DOE) + Company Vehicle, O/T and benefits (up to £45,000 with O/T)

The Client

Our client is a company that specialises in complete drainage services to corporate clients managing domestic and small commercial drainage failures. The company provides a quick and competitively priced response to their clients' needs whether it be a simple blockage or a drain collapse. Due to recent expansion, they currently have an opportunity for an experienced Drainage Engineer located in and around Huddersfield. In this role, you will be expected to fulfil all drainage roles to the required standards and the customer's reasonable expectations. Full training and support will be provided preference will be given to applicants who have drainage tickets in date)

The Role

You will predominantly be site based undertaking all drainage jobs whilst ensuring, where possible, that work is completed on the first visit. You will be able to confidently explain to customers what work you need to carry out ensuring you leave them with peace of mind and confidence in the company's abilities.

* The main purpose of the role is to cover all drainage works, domestic & commercial properties.

* Carry out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer's drains

* Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise

* Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures

* Help maintain standard of company service vehicle and equipment

* Accurately record work details via internal and client systems

* Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times

* Drainage jetting, CCTV surveys and drain repairs (drainage tickets - desired)

The Requirements

* Candidates will have a background in drainage - 2 years minimum experience

* Ideally, the candidate will have relevant desirable drainage tickets, in date. Preferably have a CSCS card, High Pressure Water Jetting, Confined Spaces

* General domestic plumbing skills highly desirable

* Patch lining experience

* Ground works & repairs, mechanical Coring, camera and civils experience preferred

* High-pressure water jetting proficiency

* Full UK driving licence

* Ability to work varied shifts (nights, days, weekends, callouts) and a willingness to work OT

* Excellent geographical knowledge of Huddersfield and surrounding areas

* Excellent customer facing skills

* Successful applicants will be subject to a criminal record and DVLA check.

* The company are willing to pay a competitive starting salary of Salary: £27,100.00-£29,000.00 per year (DOE)

* You will be able to earn £45k+ through overtime if you want to work additional hours (always available)
