On our four-year Graduate Programme within Syngenta's Global Process Hazards Group, you will help provide knowledge and direction in fire and explosion hazards for new and existing crop protection products around the globe. The programme will involve formal training, personal coaching and on-the-job development, working on real projects supporting real manufacturing processes.As you gain knowledge and experience and progress in the role, you will evaluate a variety of reaction and formulation processes (mainly batch) for flammability and ignition hazards, and provide training and coaching in process hazards to Syngenta personnel at all levels, both locally and abroad. This is an opportunity to work with & learn from a group of globally recognised technical experts in the field, and even to contribute to standards & cross industry bodies working on process safety.Essential Knowledge & Experience:Problem solving: ability to analyse complex and diverse problem situations creatively leading to the generation and implementation of original solutions.Communication: ability to convey the appropriate level of detail to the right audience verbally, in writing, or by presentation and the ability to judge when and who to communicate key information.Literature and data-base searching and the ability to collect, collate and interpret complex information.Strong influencing and communication skills.Fluent written and verbal English.Confidence using relevant IT such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Qualifications:Masters' degree in Chemical Engineering from an IChemE accredited degree programme (expected grade of 2:1 or above).Additional Important Information:Based on site in Huddersfield initially, with future scope for worldwide travel.Expectation of enrolling on training scheme targeted at achieving Chartered Chemical engineer and / or Professional Process Safety Engineer status.Full time.4-year Graduate programme.Permanent.Right to work in the UK.Please apply with your full CV and a motivation cover letter.
