An established and very specialist engineering firm, who design, manufacture, install and maintain their equipment around the UK and some parts of Europe, are now keen to appoint an experienced, Sitework Manager with an engineering background.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Managing Director you shall be responsible for organising all aspects of the site installation to ensure a high-quality service is provided to their blue-chip customers, mostly throughout the UK. You will be expected to make all required pre-commencement preparations for sitework, oversee satisfactory work on site and strive for customer satisfaction upon completion.
You will be expected to manage the daily activities of a team consisting of installation supervisor, mechanical engineers of differing skill levels and delivery vehicles
ESSENTIAL TO APPLY
* Experience in site work coordination
* Experience in team leadership
* Mechanical Engineering qualification
* Appreciation of electrical engineering
* Full clean UK driving licence (max 3 points)
* Happy to travel to site throughout the UK with overnight stays
* Understanding of CDM and principal contractor role
* Experience in compiling Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* IT literate
* CPCS Appointed Person qualified
* Ability to plan workload and ensure is completed
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Duties:
* Co-ordinating Field Engineers, planning and preparing them for site
* Preparing and providing all required sitework documentation in a timely manner
* Liaise with clients
* Provide technical advice to both clients and field engineers
* Supervising the Installation, removal, testing, commissioning, maintenance and repair of new and legacy equipment on Customers' sites.
* Overseeing inspections and examination of equipment in need of repair to determine requirements and reporting back to enable quotations to be submitted.

Managerial Responsibilities:
** Supervision of Sitework employees.
** Providing assistance and training to apprentices, labourers, semi-skilled staff etc.
** Representing the company professionally, always acting in its best interests.
** Ensuring not to bring the company into disrepute.
