Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are at least 6 months working with vulnerable young learners that we are able to gain full references from.
Contract dates:
This is an ongoing role starting asap or in January.
Vision for Education are recruiting on behalf of an alternative SEND setting school in Kirklees who are seeking to appoint several Youth Mentors to work evening shifts ideally from 4pm - 8pm however this can be negotiated. There are also full time roles available.
The role
Vision for Education is looking to appoint several Youth Mentors to join our successful team, to work in an alternative SEND setting in Huddersfield. This is part-time role that will commence asap. Working as part of a creative and dynamic team, the candidate will be working with a number of students with challenging behaviour. This Youth mentor role will involve working with students after school, supporting them with their evening routine within a residential setting. Experience in a similar role is essential and a Team-Teach qualification is desirable (but not essential, as training can be provided)

Requirements
To be considered for the Youth Mentor position, you will:
Have experience working with SEND learners specifically mental health
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
Have experience managing challenging behaviour
