Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) trainee within the CHCP Psychological Wellbeing Service based in Hull or to join one of our provider services Focus Counselling Services (Hull) Ltd. The post-holders will work within the Let's Talk service providing high intensity interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. This intensive training post will equip the post - holder to provide a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) service to clients with a range of complex problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. The post- holder will work in the service for 5 days of the week using the newly developed skills whilst working towards accreditation.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. You will have excellent engagement skills and be committed to completing accreditation with BABCP on successful completion of the course. Clinical supervision with an accredited supervisor will be provided to support development of skills and knowledge leading towards supervisor accreditation. You will be able to work flexibly across the area of service delivery and will be proactive in organisational, service and personal developments.
As a trainee CBT Therapist, you will attend an IAPT accredited training programme at Hull University and will submit required academic and client-based reports in line with the university training programme requirements.Please note:Interviews will be joint service and university interviews, therefore application packs for applicants successful for interview will be shared with the university. Applicants must be available to attend for interview on the 15thor 16thof December 2021.
On successful completion of the training course, it is expected that you will progress to employment as a CBT therapist with CHCP or Focus Counselling Services (Hull) Ltd as a Hull Let's Talk IAPT provider.
