Job Description
We are currently working with our engineering client, based in Keighley, recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer. Our client is a global leader providing engineering solutions to a variety of industries both in the UK and overseas. The main purpose of the role will be to work alongside our mechanical design team to produce cohesive designs on a range of bespoke machinery. Working with machine tool fitters to continually improve designs going forward

The Role

Creating Electrical drawings using Eplan
Providing technical support for all aspects of machinery and automation.
Electrical and pneumatic installation, cable, and piping runs
Electromechanical sizing - Gearboxes, etc.
Pneumatic sizing and specification
PLC, HMI, Servo programming
Panel building
Working to CE/UKCA specification
Machine commissioning, working with the customer to meet quality/production requirements.
Working with suppliers for quotations/orders.
On occasion, the role will involve some international travel to our other manufacturing sites.
The Candidate

Time served Engineer with recognised electrical qualifications
High level of practical experience
18th Edition wiring regulations
Detailed comprehension of automation and machine interface systems
Ability to read, create, integrate electrical systems for fault finding
Interpret and write PLC programs
Knowledge of the latest machinery safety standards and the machinery directive
Working knowledge of motion control systems
Ability to inspect Electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify the condition and replace as required
Experience in design and installation of electrical control systems and machinery design.
Industrial Robots
Previous successful experience of managing projects
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE
