Role Profile

As an industrial engineering Group with a heritage of over 200 years, Fives designs and supplies machines, process equipment and production lines for the world's largest industrial players. As part of the Manufacturing Engineering department, the Process Engineer will be responsible for driving continuous improvement activities to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

Define, measure, analyse and control existing manufacturing processes to rapidly drive improvements within the company
Assume ownership of the Assembly Stage Build Process for all product types, factoring all inputs and attributes to the relevant areas in aim to introduce control.
Create and design production lines/cells with standard work across product range
Explore and implement new methods of industrialisation before production release
Support and lead certain Quality activities by roll out of PFMEA and 8D/5WHY investigations
Define and develop best practices and innovative solutions through written procedures/documentation to improve production rates and quality of output
Resolve technical, process and systematic problems in responsible areas

Skills & Experience

Degree in Engineering, HND/NVQ, relevant experience
Demonstrable record of accomplishment within Production/Process Engineering environment
Ability to read technical drawings and understands GD&T
Six Sigma Green belt, with ability to deploy Lean and Six Sigma techniques through kaizen events
Experience of cell layouts using CAD
Practical knowledge of milling, boring, turning and grinding processes
A self-starter, meticulous, high decision quality, deals well with ambiguity, driven to achieve results, motivates others, plans, organises and prioritises work
Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
