I am recruiting for a Civil & Structural Engineer to join our Clients Thermal Engineering Civil Team. The Client is a Multinational Energy company who is based in the heart of Scotland and the surrounding areas.

As a Civil & Structural Engineer for this contract, you will be required to be involved in the assessment of existing assets across the fleet and provide technical support and guidance covering high consequence civil assets including buildings, chimneys, cooling towers, bunkers, bunds and more.

The Client requires an Engineer who has Bridge experience and be expected to carry out the following key activities:
- Production of Asset Life Assessment integrity reports (ALA) for selected High Consequence Assets that are scheduled for inspection in 2022/23
- Manage bridge inspections and review / write assessment reports
- Attending to emergent civil and structural tasks as requested by the stations, which may have an urgent H&S implication
- Assistance with technical review of design packages provided by external companies (contractors and consultants) on the various LCPs, to deal with any peaks in overall team workload
- Site inspections and witness duties as required
- Provide civil engineering advice to other discipline teams as required, for multi-discipline activities and interface tasks

Candidate Requirements
- Educated to a minimum of Degree level in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
- Chartered membership of ICE and/or IStructE
- Bridge experience is essential
