Role Purpose:

We have an exciting, permanent opportunity for a Human Factors Specialist to join the team! You will support across the business by providing expert technical leadership on human factors. This will be completed by developing and delivering the understanding and application of human factors principles to safety in the business.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Provide an expert advisory service supporting the business on human factors principles in relation to safety

Perform work task analysis and writing task instructions for engineers

Lead the integration of human factors principles

Identify the causes and mitigating human error in our work

Leading key pieces of companywide work in relation to human factors in behaviour & culture, personal and process safety

Leading the business on human factors risks, including but not limited to fatigue management

Aid the business to manage human factors risks

Produce detailed reports for board committees with clear outputs and actions

Contribute to the development of the wider safety community

Act as a point of contact and engage with external stakeholders, such as the HSE and industry groups

Qualifications required

Essential:

BSc Human Factors / Ergonomics / Organisational Psychology or equivalent

Member of IEHF

Desirable:

NEBOSH Certificate

Full driving licence
