'We're looking for a technical and experienced Product Insight Analyst to play a vital role in our growing Product team for News and Sports digital. This role will empower the wider Product team by developing our analytical capabilities to drive growth and engagement. What you'll do:

* Champion the use of data to drive decision making, collaborating with the wider Product team to ensure data underpins any product developments and campaigns, and educating others to self-serve. * Support the move to centralised data storage and use Big Query (SQL) for in-depth analysis and cross-comparison of multiple data sources. * Track product performance across News and Sport website and apps, identifying trends and recommending actions. * Drive efficiency by automating manual reporting processes and continuously develop analytical methods to improve understanding of product usage. * Work with a variety of large data sources and analysis/visualisation tools to bring our data to life and engage colleagues. * Contribute to our wider data strategy in the development of our News and Sport products including enhanced video tracking with Adobe Heartbeat and personalisation for web and app users.

What you'll bring:

* At least 3 years of experience with SQL required, ideally having worked with Big Query as part of Google Cloud Platform. Python and R experience a plus. * Knowledge and experience in automating manual processes, data management and manipulation. * Experience with analysis and visualisation software such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau and Data Studio. Ability to take complex data and communicate insights effectively to colleagues across the business. * Passion for data with proven record of delivering data driven solutions with an audience-first approach. * Experience working with multiple data streams and large data sets with proven ability to provide actionable insights. * Strong mathematical background, ideally possessing a STEM degree or equivalent qualification to be able to conduct advanced large-scale analysis.
