Driving accelerated growth across Farnell and Avnet web based businesses.Reporting directly to the business President and a key member of our multi-disciplined global leadership team, you will be responsible for a dispersed global team defining and executing our ecommerce strategy and system development across all platforms (desktop and mobile), as well as defining the on-line user experience.We are seeking a strong leader with significant experience within eCommerce, managing and leading eCommerce or Marketing teams in both B2B and B2C market segments. Our new leader will have previous experience in working within a global, matrix environment and aware of cultural differences and sensitivities which may arise.We are looking for the delivery of complex, large scale change programs involving multiple functions within the business, ensuring that the business proposition is optimized on our web and eCommerce channels driving overall ecommerce sales, order penetration and strong sales performance.Key areas you will be working closely with include: Marketing, Product, IT, Regional Sales and global functions including eCommerce Ops, eProcurement, UX/UI, Site Search, SEO, and web development.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and define the overall eCommerce roadmap globally leading all user experience and user design strategy (to all Transactional websites). Prioritize development roadmap in line with eCommerce revenue targets and competitive environment to maximize conversion and revenue from eCommerce propositionGlobally define and lead user research activities to ensure all Transactional sites are optimized for a compelling multi-platform user experience and to achieve conversion rates and value extraction in line with the business strategyIn line with overall digital product roadmap globally define and lead user architecture activities to ensure all Transactional sites are optimized for a compelling multi-platform user experience and to achieve conversion rates in line with the business strategyShepard critical SEO strategic/tactical execution needs to ensure traffic share is obtainedAccountable for the eProcurement platform, development and management eProcurement Product leader and team of customer facing eProcurement specialists (indirect reports)In line with Digital Trading objectives support Front end and Agile development opportunities with user design recommendationsManage, lead and develop a team to ensure the successful execution and innovation of our e-commerce propositionKEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCEAdvanced experience in leading the development of a user experience and design across multiple platforms and languagesAdvanced level of experience in managing and influencing complex stakeholders in a matrix structureExperience in leading and developing a highly engaged team of people in multiple global locationsExcellent communicator (verbal and written) at all levelsStrong commercial acumen with significant experience of budget setting and managementHighly organized with significant experience of team leadershipDemonstrable deep knowledge and understanding of latest digital product and usabilityProven ability to deliver results in a complex multi-channel marketing environmentNumerate, with the ability to interrogate and analyse data to shape insightWHY JOIN OUR TEAMAs the leader in our industry, celebrating 100 years in business, Avnet offers challenging opportunities for Executives looking to enhance their career with a world-class organization.
