Are you looking for a permanent multi-skilled role that involves order processing and assembling gift packages, then look no further.Here at Hemingways, we are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to support our growing, friendly team. As a Warehouse Operative, you will need excellent attention to detail, be able to process all orders to a high standard, and have a positive, can-do attitude.Trading since 1947, 'linking people with brands' is at the heart of what we do. We specialise in e-commerce, sales, and distribution, representing many major UK and international brands, promoting and selling their products to consumers and corporate markets. We are also home to Voucher Express, Vex Rewards, Cadbury Gifts Direct and Green & Black's.Main duties include Assembling gift packages, applying high standards of quality, presentation and attention to detail.Ability to work at a fast pace without sacrificing quality and presentation standards.Proactively communicate with colleagues and line leaders about issues, e.g. stock items running low.Ensuring hygiene and housekeeping standard are met and exceeded.Responsible for your health and safety and watching out for the health & safety of others.You are responsible for your PPE and the washing of it.Flexibility around working hours, especially during our peak periods, Christmas and Easter, and commit to two Sunday shifts in the six weeks preceding Christmas as a minimum.Filling out line paperwork.Use of scanning system and scanning labels.You may be asked to help train other new workers.Provide cover in the event of staff shortages in other areas of the company.Assist with the training of new and temporary employees.Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the employer.Requirements:GCSEs to include Maths & English at or above grade C/4 or equivalent.Ability to work to strict deadlines.Ability to keep calm in stressful situations.Excellent attention to detail is a must.Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.Flexibility around working hours, especially in the weeks leading to key holidays.Positive attitude.Keen and willing to learn while developing new and existing skills.BenefitsWe are a professional and friendly team with big ambitions for the future.
