Electrical Engineer
Salary: £36,000 to £38,500
Location: Mexborough
My Client, a UK leader in the manufacturing of their steel products, is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their growing business.
Having being founded in 1936 they have grown and become a real leader in their field, making high quality products and consistently delivering innovative designs to their customers.
They are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their busy and professional team based in Mexborough.
Your job will be to help deliver the asset care plan & provide a world class maintenance support to the site, which includes; assisting the maintenance management team in complying with all H&S responsibilities, legal compliance, delivering efficiencies, continuous in respect of production/packaging, services, buildings and all other ancillary equipment.
Deliver timely first line response and quality remedial countermeasures to breakdowns, inefficient performance and all identifiable waste streams.
THE ROLE:
In your job you will be responsible for
*Reacting quickly and efficiently to unplanned breakdowns
*Carrying out planned maintenance activities in line with equipment and schedule
*Involvement in project work
*Carryout shift day to day (weekend) maintenance activity's maintaining machine availability within the assembly area
*Carryout proactive work including PPM and improvement work
*Operate in line with all company H&S Standards
*Implement and adhere to safe working practices
Full Time hours, working a rolling 3 week shift pattern which will be:
DAYS: 6am until 2pm Monday to Friday
NIGHTS: 10pm until 6am Sunday to Thursday
AFTERNOONS: 2.00pm until 10pm Monday to Friday
THE CANDIDATE:
*Familiarity with Individual/team/departmental/Site KPIs and an ability to analyse data from various sources.
*A good organiser with a methodical approach to work
*Excellent inter-personal skills and a good communicator, both verbally and written
*A working knowledge of CMMS systems
*An ambitious individual who wants to succeed and be developed in areas of modern maintenance practices in order to apply these skills within the company.
*Open minded to change and willing to take on new ideas.
*5 years' experience working in a front line maintenance role, in a FMCG environment and carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities.
*A good level of knowledge, and practical experience in motors, inverters, electro-pneumatics, hydraulics, drives/gearboxes, pumps & seals, conveyor systems, services etc.
*Time served engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent).
*City and Guilds electrical ONC/B-TEC (or equivalent).
THE BENEFITS:
