A genuinely fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer with Wind experience to join at the very beginning of a huge project in Teesside. With this being the very start of a project we need someone that can (and is comfortable with) writing procedures.

Role Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the Installation package manager, the candidate will be responsible in preparing project documentation and key deliverables such as, but not limited to detailed project procedures, RAMS, work instructions, checklists, equipment lists and manning plans whilst gaining client approvals prior to execution. The candidate will also be responsible in assisting the project team throughout preparation activities and execution readiness in terms of equipment and manpower.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for the issuance of technical contractual documentation and other documentation needed to execute the operations such as specifications, coordination of studies, using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures and program requirements, in accordance with the contract and with Client's Quality and EHS processes.
Experience with Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), MV/HV cabling and termination is highly beneficial.
Develop work instructions related to electrical completion work such as cable connections and associated tests and energization procedures, main transformer pre-start checks, cable pulling and tie-in and cable looping, whilst also supporting the HV interface between CLIENT 's subcontractors.
Develop work instruction related to electrical completions.
Develop work instruction for pre-commissioning operation related turbine lights, HVAC system and turbine lift.
Supervise the RFQ process of the manpower selection together with the package manager and the project sourcing team and participate in the selection of the manpower subcontractor for the M&E activities at the marshalling harbor, the installation vessel and the SOV's
Pro-actively Implement execution methods and sound processes, leading electrical operations at the marshalling harbor and offshore to meet the installation pace. Gather feedback and lesson learned from the teams to update documentation as required.
Liaise with the Tower pre-assembly Engineer and the marshalling harbor team for the organization of the activities inside the towers, provide specialist support in the field to ensure safe operations to required QA standards.
Qualifications/Requirements
University degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or technician with +5 years of field experience ideally gained offshore or onshore wind farm
Eligibility Requirements
Experienced in electrical engineering for cable deployment and cable connections (LV to HV)
Good knowledges in electrical regulations (UK and US)
Offshore standards for marine operations (DNV, BV)
