Your new company

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be joining a thriving business based in the Leeds area.
You will play a key part in the finance team through supporting the Management Accountant, handling invoices, preparing payments and ensuring weekly reconciliations are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Your new role

As an Accounts Assistant, your key duties will include:

* Invoice checking, processing, and filing
* Performing the weekly bank reconciliation
* Performing the weekly cash matching process
* Obtain monthly supplier statements, reconcile them to the ledger and follow up on discrepancies
* Chase any credit notes due from suppliers and process expense requests for payment
* Provide cover for refunds processing

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need to have good organisational skills, have a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail as well as a desire to problem solve. You will need to have basic excel experience and would be at an advantage with Sage 50 experience.
