Business Architect - \u00A365000 - Leeds - Flexible Working

Hays Technology are looking for a Business Architect to join our large private sector client in the centre of Leeds to join their Corporate Strategy and Business Transformation team. You will be having oversight of our business processes, through the lens of data and be integral to designing solutions that simplify their technical landscape, meet their business needs through innovative data solutions. You will be central to their data & insight evolution, with a focus on embedding a new culture across the organisation. With their customer first mindset, they are focusing on becoming more insight enabled, through data-driven transformation.

What you will be doing:

* You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the enterprise data architecture that meets the data governance, regulatory & business requirements.
* You will be responsible for designing and developing complex data models that will enable the Service Delivery leadership team to make decisions and influence the growth of our products.
* You will be skilled in data engineering using SQL \/ Python and Business Intelligence tools to turn raw data into information that feeds analysis initiatives and trials.
* You will own the development of data models, taxonomies and ontology for data & metadata supported by the team, to ensure we are best utilising available data.
* You will highlight and act upon any opportunities you have identified in utilising existing and new data sources.
* You will be innovative in combining data sources to produce coherent data models that are fit for purpose and enable the creation of new insight.
* You will be liaising with senior stakeholders to promote and drive the consumption of outputs in ad-hoc or long-term engagements.
* You will define common reference data and hierarchies relevant for BI purposes in collaboration with Data Stewards, Analysts and Business SME's to agree and ratify these data sets.

Who you will be working for:

While the role will be based in Leeds, this organisation provides the capability for over 500 Communications Providers to provide service, broadband and data services to consumers and businesses across the UK. Their network covers 30 million customers and 8 million broadband lines from approximately 5,500 local exchanges. Broadband connections have become a necessity to customers at home and at work and the demands of our infrastructure reflect that importance.

What we are looking for:

* Lean black belt certified highly regarded
* Structured methodical planning and organisational skills
* A self-motivated team player with a collaborative approach
* Strong communication skills with the ability to write documentation and present technicalities to a non-technical audience
* Certification in Agile methodology (particularly scrum or Kanban) would be highly regarded
* Proven experience in delivering lean e2e processes
