Service Transition Manager: Public Sector

Location: Remote working (Hybrid Leeds post lockdown)
Salary Band: 8a: \u00A331.06 - \u00A335.15 per hour
Contract duration: 6-12 months
IR35: In scope

As a Service Transition Manager you will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting the Service Delivery Team and staff across the Corporate IT & Smarter Working team. In particular the post holder will:

* Act as the gatekeeper for services entering operational support to ensure service transition processes have been followed and operational teams have the capacity and capability to support
* Establish and maintain good working relationships internally between the Service Delivery Team and Project Teams as well as good working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
* Review transition plans, ensuring they are comprehensive, viable, clear and deliver a joined-up approach to service transfer
* Define, maintain and continually improve service acceptance criteria for transition deliverables in line with departmental acceptance into service processes
* Manage IT transition activities in a complex IT environment, covering multiple internal teams and vendors, from development into support
* Be responsible for Service Transition communications and engagement with key stakeholders
* Ensure appropriate acceptance criteria are in place for all services exit and transition deliverables and that these are effectively communicated
* Manage transition plan dependencies across suppliers to ensure appropriate SLAs are in place and warranty and utility of service is met
* Produce reports and Management information, including impact analysis reports and status reports
* To work collaboratively across the NHS
* To oversee team members to deliver requirements listed above and engage and liaise with key stakeholders, in particular
* Substantial Service Transition Management experience within a complex IT environment
* Experience with using Service Management toolsets (ServiceNow, Remedy, Manage Engine, etc) and using various methods of delivery status reporting (e.g. dashboards, etc)
