Solution Architect - \u00A365000 - Leeds

Hays Technology are looking for a Solution Architect to join our large private sector client in the centre of Leeds to join their Corporate Strategy and Business Transformation team. You'll be in a team of talented data engineers, data architects and data management specialists to ensure that we are sourcing and structuring the data needed by our analytics teams and the data we use is fit for purpose. You will be central to their transformation in data.

What you will be doing:

* You will be responsible for the creation of a strong interlock with CTIO specifically in order to ensure delivery performance is enabled by powerful AI-ready architecture, as well as an aligned and consistent approach to technologies.
* You will be accountable for providing one true source for Data and an AI enabled platform that enables easily deployable data assets.
* You will be accountable for expanding SD Data catalogue and ensure that all data required is available in a consumable way.
* You will be responsible for powering & supporting the Business Intelligence, Applied Analytics & Process Re-engineering squads in being able to deliver their objectives by enabling seamless access to data and Cloud capabilities in conjunction with CTIO.
* You will shape, develop, transition and maintain data assets to be fully cloud-native, moving them to fully harness the future-state of our business in terms of data, technology and operations.

Who you will be working for:

While you will be based in Leeds, This organisation provides the capability for over 500 Communications Providers to provide service, broadband and data services to consumers and businesses across the UK. Their network covers 30 million customers and 8 million broadband lines from approximately 5,500 local exchanges. Broadband connections have become a necessity to customers at home and at work and the demands of their infrastructure reflect that importance.

What we are looking for:

* University degree in a numerate course such as: computer science \/ programming, statistics, mathematics, economics or a related quantitative field.
* Experience of data engineering on cloud platforms: GCP and AWS in particular.
* Proficient with common data engineering tools including Oracle SQL, PL\/SQL, Hadoop, StreamSets, Glue.
* Experience in developing and scaling data technologies across big data, cloud data processing and data stores, operational and analytics databases.
* Understanding of modern best practices in software development and modern infrastructure.
* Experience in building large scale cloud native architecture is preferred, but not essential.
