Working for a very successful SME who is a seller and distributor to global markets, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the business in this dynamic and hybrid position. You must be proficient with MS Excel.

This position will be responsible for the movement of stock, purchase ledger and all the general finance administration duties.

The successful Finance and Shipping Co-Ordinator will be also be responsible for:

Financial Coordination / Credit Control

Invoicing - key requirement / follow customer agreed deals
Pricing
Credit Notes
Cash Ledger
Banking: payments and daily reconciliation
Credit Control - customer ledger management Credit control (daily)

Follow ups

We have a coordinated process parts of a team

Buy Currency
Affiliate company ledgers and reconciliation involving liaising with Japan office
Update stock and sales ledgers
Resolve Queries

Shipping Coordination

Dealing with the shipping clearing agents
Excel/sheet
Update costs to Excel charts/website
Liaise with Head Office (abroad) , Shipping Lines and others
Maintaining schedules/calling shipping lines
Maintain spreadsheets
Pre arrival procedures
Customer balance payments
Arrange collection note instructions
Stock control UK yard

The successful Finance and Shipping Co-ordinator will possess the following qualities:

Courteous and efficient use of the telephone, email and Skype
No 2 days are the same / ability to find your own feet and prioritise

- tasks and activities appear in a different order

Eye for detail / good analytical skills
Good at problem solving
Work independently after period of training
Cooperate with other team members
Good Computer skills

The ideal Finance and Shipping Co-Ordinator will be have the following skills:

Computer literate
MS Office particular MS Excel - CSV Files
ASANA
Skype
Invoicing
Xero
Sage
