Come join the excellence!OverviewThe Business Development Manager (BDM) is a critical role in the UK & Ireland Sales Team, reporting to the VP & Country Manager - UK & Ireland. We are seeking a proven sales rep who is driven and passionate about exceeding expectations, identifying, and closing new customers and using sales best practices to achieve revenue targets. This is a hands-on role that requires constant engagement with prospects and new opportunities across industries and different personas.The BDM is the catalyst behind TNS' success as an organisation. As a consultative sales professional, the BDM is responsible for driving revenue growth and bringing in net new business from prospects and current customers. BDMs help solve the business needs of prospects and customers by aligning those needs and objectives with TNS solution(s). BDMs own all opportunities and customers and are responsible for co-ordinating resources and managing the sales campaign across the entire opportunity pipeline.ResponsibilitiesOur expectations of you include:Negotiate and close as many new logo sales campaigns assignedProvide guidance on customer and prospect corporate strategic initiativesIdentify customer needs and effectively understand and respond to customer objectionsConnect client's business objectives with TNS offerings and solutionsEffectively sell a broad portfolio of products across a wide range of industriesAssist the customer in maximising the return of their investment with TNSBe proactive in all aspects of opportunity developmentAccurately help forecast sales results and deal closure timingsFollow and implement the TNS Sales Playbook in day-to-day activitiesBuild and maintain brand presence within assigned accountsBuild and expand relationships with Economic Buyer in prospect and customer accountsEstablish yourself as a 'Trusted Advisor' to the prospect or customerCollaborate with peers and management around ways to continually improve the sales organisationWork with the legal team to build contracts and solutions for clientsWork and partner with finance to provide appropriate forecasting reviewsProvide expertise around areas of interest to discuss industry best practices and development of high-level strategiesBring net new and innovative ideas to both internal team and the customerAssist in creating an environment of teamwork and continuous improvementDemonstrate a commitment to excellence (i.e., strong business acumen)Partner with sales team members and additional pre-sales engagement members to align goals and ensure ongoing refinementLeverage previous telecommunications and/or software as a service solutionTravel to customer locations in support of sales efforts when travel resumesAttending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetingsQualifications2+ years of software or complex solutions sales experience preferred in addition to B2B consultative sales experienceCommunication: Strong verbal and written communicator.
