An opportunity has arisen for an Emergency Planning Assistant to join our client's Resilience, Planning & Contingencies team based at their Headquarters in Sheffield with elements of agile/home-working available.

*Salary: £20,092 - £21,748 (Grade 4) *
*Hours: Full Time - 37 Hours per week (Flexi Time) *
*Work Pattern: Mon - Fri *
*Location: Sheffield, S1 (with elements of Working From Home)*

As the Emergency Planning Assistant you will support our client to meet their duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. The overall purpose of the role will be to support the Resilience, Planning & Contingencies team in all aspects of Emergency Planning, Business Continuity, and Local Resilience Forum work streams. This will involve assisting in the administration and coordination of new and existing emergency/contingency plans, facilitating internal and external consultation processes, and supporting the planning of exercises.

The right candidate will be highly motivated and committed to achieving team objectives, you will hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant field and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. You must have an awareness of emergency and contingency planning but previous experience of working in emergency planning, business continuity, or related fields is desirable and not essential.
