Job description

The Role: Our clients are looking for two new roles within their Infrastructure team in Sheffield. The ideal candidates will possess general infrastructure design experience at different levels but in particular residential infrastructure design, including drainage and highway design to adoptable standards (S38, S278 and S104 and S206).

Academic Requirements: They are looking for our ideal candidate to have a Bachelors or Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or Equivalent) and be Chartered or working towards with the ICE (Institute of Civil Engineers).
Key Job Responsibilities:
*
Designing and preparing drawings for surface water, sewer networks and external ground levels in the residential and commercial sectors.
*
Designing and preparing highway designs including vertical and horizontal geometry. Highways and Drainage design experience (S278, 38, 104).
*
The ability to operate specialist software for drainage and infrastructure design including AutoCAD, PDS, and Microdrainage/Windes.
*
Prepare technical schedules.
*
Represent Eastwood and Partners at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers when required.
*
Ensure project work is carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.
*
Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met.
*
Communicate with Directors on relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
*
Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team and ensuring all relevant staff are informed of client matters
*
Mentor and assist Graduate Engineers where required.
*
A commitment to CPD and self-learning / development.
*
Actively work towards Chartered Engineering status (where applicable).
*
Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, AutoCAD
