About the role
Sense is currently recruiting for an Assistant Shop Manager to work 15 hours per week at our shop in Sheffield on a permanent basis.
Each year, over four million people buy an item from us, so our shops play a pivotal role in raising funds to make a difference to the lives of those who find it difficult to communicate and connect with the world.
We are looking for someone to lead and support an enthusiastic team of volunteers, assisting the manager in running the shop and acting as Shop Manager in their absence. This will be a hands-on role involving the selection, pricing and presentation of donated stock, and providing excellent customer service.
Key skills and experience:
Experience of providing excellent customer service.
Self-motivated, creative, and committed to working in charity retail.
You'll have an eye for detail with the ability ensure a safe, clean and inviting environment for customers, staff, and volunteers.
Previous experience of working in a retail environment is desirable.
This position requires the applicant to be willing to work Bank Holidays and weekends as required.
