IT Systems Administrator

Ref: 2023

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £24,183 - £25,633 per annum

Location: Based at the Wakefield City Campus and working across all campus sites multi-sites.

About the College:

Wakefield College is one of the largest colleges in the Wakefield District, providing education to over 7500 students and employing over 700 staff. The current main campus sites are located in Wakefield and Castleford and a proposed merger with Selby College is underway.

This is a crucial role that keeps the College and its systems operational, as an IT Systems Administrator you will respond to tier 3 helpdesk tickets using your technical expertise and maintain servers and systems within the College. The IT team takes extreme pride in the delivery of their service and the standards which they operate. The team works efficiently and effectively together and supports each other on a day to day basis.

About You:

You should be an experienced IT professional, who is enthusiastic and passionate about providing the best service. You should be an excellent communicator who can provide IT knowledge and guidance and assist the IT Services Manager with the operational day to day security, software and hardware of the College's large IT infrastructure.

About the Role:

It's a demanding, fast paced, and varied role. You will be working alongside other IT System Administrators, keeping your knowledge current and staying abreast of technological developments, you will have the opportunity to work on projects, perform routine patching, and apply updates to the College systems. No two days will be the same.
