Hours: Various - As required, at short notice and during term time only.

Location: College wide - Wakefield and Castleford Campuses

Salary: £9.50 per hour

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join our pool of staff who are available to work at short notice.

About the College and the Additional Learning Support Department:

Wakefield College is one of the main educational providers in the Wakefield District. We know that the potential for learning is phenomenal, and we are determined to fulfill the aspirational needs of our students.

Over the last ten years we have really made a difference and the demand for our additional learning support services is increasing year on year, resulting in the need to expand our provision - making this an exciting time for you to join a College with ambition.

What we are looking for:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll contribute to the delivery of appropriate non-teaching support in classroom situations and other college settings, working with students with additional support needs on a 1:1 or group basis in accordance with the overall learner support plans.

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants who have direct experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in an educational setting, as well as a proven ability to motivate students and promote learning. Alongside this, you must have a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to travel between our campuses in Wakefield and Castleford.
