Future plans extend to many more territories - and applying our approach to other field-service specialist sectors.

We're looking for an individual who will push forward the operation in the UK over the short and medium term and then be looking to fulfil a group role from January 2025, leveraging their particular skills and experience in growing the business.

There's no magic solution to what we do, it's relentless improvement, across every single aspect of our business, investing - as only an independent business can - in the long term and doing things right.

Two fundamentals:

* The critical importance of our people - as you will see from our website, we've been full-on about investing in our People for 15 years - from Investors in People Platinum to Princess Royal Training Awards to the only City-&-Guilds Assured training programmes in our industry - and yet more developments planned for 2022.

* Systems: no point in having great people if they're ham-strung by low-fi technology. We've developed our own solutions, bespoke to our industry and informed by customer needs, for 25 years. We work with technology leaders, at the forefront of developments in our industry.

Our previous MD has now retired, the business is in great shape, with plenty of potential - what we're looking for is the individual who is going to relish delivering that potential and more over the next 10 years. They will need:

We have an outstanding and impassioned team - seniors and junior leaders, field technicians and support - and they're looking for the person to help them realise their true potential.

Caveats: we seem to get lots of applicants who think they can achieve all of this by working from home. Sorry, this is a leadership role - you will, of course, spend time out of the office but your visibility and availability are key to delivery of your role. And we're early starters rather than late finishers - partly with our colleagues in the Middle East starting four hours ahead of us, partly because our customers do call early to get technicians out before lunchtime
