Assistant Housekeeping Manager

As Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will be co-responsible for the cleanliness our beautiful hotel. You will closely work together with the Housekeeping Manager to run a smooth Housekeeping operation and to achieve all departmental goals.

The main responsibilities of the role include

• You manage and divide the work and tasks to the housekeeping team based on the forecast of the hotel
• You make sure your team is having fun while working!
• At the end of every week, you check your team's efficiency and make sure the time registration is done
• You check the inventory of amenities and cleaning products and take care of the orders, while keeping an eye on the Housekeeping budget and controlling the costs
• You manage the team from a people's perspective to make sure that the team is performing at its best, by coaching, training and evaluating them regularly
• You strive for the best possible guest experience and check the rooms to make sure that all quality standards are exceeded
• You keep a close eye on our Brand Standards to ensure that we are always compliant
• In order to achieve all quality targets, you are in close contact with the other departments of the hotel such as the guest service mangers and the maintenance manager
• You believe that team work makes the dream work!

Furthermore, you are expected to

• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Have knowledge of the Opera PMS
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Protect company assets
• Protect the privacy and security of guests and co-workers
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
• Support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
• Report issues to the room to the Maintenance Team & FO team accordingly

• A valid residence and working permit for the Netherlands is required
• English speaking; Dutch is not mandatory
