Kafka Platform/DevOps Engineer

Max €80.000,- per annum (excl. secondary benefits)

Are you a technology enthusiast who would likes to solve problems? Someone who is well acquainted with Kubernetes and Kafka, and would like to learn more about these technologies? Are you looking for a next step in your career, but would like to do so remotely?

My client is looking for a DevOps engineer who can join their company and help with their clients' data and cloud transformations. This start-up prioritises technical knowledge and being up-to-speed with the latest developments. They are aiming to build a world-class company with a team of very smart people who are excellent problem solvers. They're expanding their business to the Netherlands and would like to have an engineer on board who is based there.

I'm looking for someone who

• Knows Apache Kafka from the inside and out, including all of its services.
• has at least 3 years of hands-on experience with either AWS, Azure, or GCP, and strong experience with Linux compute and storage infrastructure.
• knows networking technologies: TCP/IP, Load Balancing, DNS, DHCP, routing, etc.
• also has knowledge and experience with VPN, SSL, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana.
• has a strong containerization knowledge (Docker & Kubernetes).

• learning more on the job. My client will make sure that you get the needed Kubernetes certifications needed to perform optimally.

Experience with Cassandra, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Prometheus, Grafana, Java and JVM (for polishing up some stuff), Hashicorp stack
