Senior Credit Analyst - Asset Management

Job description

For our Asset Management company ACTIAM we are looking for a Senior Credit Analyst.

This position is responsible for providing high quality research through qualitative and quantitative analysis of corporate bond issuers with a strong focus on the financial sector. The role requires strong financial modelling skills and deep industry knowledge around economic, ESG, regulatory and business developments. Providing in depth credit research reviews and actionable trade recommendations and therefore work closely with credit portfolio managers and other credit research analysts to generate alpha. Performing bottom up fundamental issuer analysis across multiple sectors within financials with a focus on Euro IG and High Yield credit. Presenting this research and making recommendations for individual securities and/or sectors to the research and PM team.

Responsibilities:

Independently conduct fundamental credit research on a range of sectors and generate new investment ideas to include in portfolios
Develop and maintain credit research coverage for one or multiple industry sectors
Analyze trends in the Corporate bond space, with a focus on financials, and maintain up-to-date industry outlooks.
Combine strong credit research and relative value skills to trade recommendations to portfolio managers
Monitor industry conditions and trends & themes among financial and ESG factors which could affecting the credit quality of specific sectors and companies
Develop and maintain relationships with outside industry experts
Extensive knowledge of the EUR IG & High Yield credit market and proven track record regarding sector and issuer coverage
As a credit team member act as a sparring partner/challenger for your colleagues
Cooperate with ESG and Equity colleagues to create synergies and deliver on true ESG integration
Supports business development activity as appropriate

Profile:

Ideally 5-10 years of experience with fundamental analysis in the credit market
Master's Degree in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Business or Economics
CFA Designation preferred
Significant experience in in the field of Credit Research, predominantly coverage of financials sector
Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg
Strong entrepreneurial drive with developed interpersonal skills and commercial sense next to attention to detail, diligent, accurate and proactive
Ability to work independent and as part of a multi-disciplinary team with strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Dutch
