Senior Business Intelligence SpecialistAre you an experienced Business Intelligence Specialist looking for an international, creative and innovative environment? We're looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Tableau Specialist available to join our internal team immediately.Business Intelligence at Randstad Groep Nederland (HQ)As a Business Intelligence Specialist you take the lead in the development of our new to build Tableau self-service environment delivering reporting & dashboarding. (we are in a transition to Tableau)
In this role you use your specialist knowledge to translate the wishes of the business from a well-designed data model to a user-friendly report or dashboard.You are able to make the right trade-offs between the functional wish and technical possibilities. The decisions you make affect the big pictureYou develop new BI schema layers and you are able to explain their structure.
You are able to advise on improvements on the existing platform and you can support customers in their self-service environment. You have a down to earth pragmatic approach with a healthy sense of humor.You strive for quality over speed and you are constantly looking for simplification and innovations in order to actually achieve this.Within assignments you oversee the entire process from data source to information product. You are able to understand business processes and translate these into the required information products.You work on deepening and broadening your knowledge in the field of BI Data Warehousing.You are responsible for delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions within coordinated lead times.Documenting you see as a way to include others in your logic.You experience testing the quality of your work within the team as a way to improve yourself and your work.You enjoy sharing knowledge with junior colleagues and vice versa.
TeamWithin the Operational Insights team we know the roles Product Owner, Scrum Master, Analyst, Data Engineer, Infra Specialist and MicroStrategy Specialist. Our common goal is to make data work for RGN, our customers and candidates.The team is responsible for the Management Information System of the Randstad Group Netherlands (Randstad, Tempo-Team and Yacht).Our data engineers integrate and transform the data from the different systems and then load it into our data warehouse. Accuracy, completeness and timeliness are paramount, with the performance in mind. If the data is in our data warehouse, our MicroStrategy specialists will create the semantic / schema layer, the attributes and the metrics. The result is a self-service environment for creating reports and dashboards. In addition, we develop standard reports and dashboards that are used throughout the organization.Your profile

• At least 7 years of relevant work experience in the field of Business Intelligence. Here you have specialist knowledge of the front-end (reporting) activities. You understand how data is created (from source to data warehouse);
• We are looking for a professional with a T-shaped profile. This means that you are an expert in the field of reporting (inventory needs, data analysis, metadata layer, reporting and building a dashboard), but you also like to be deployed in other disciplines (backend (ETL / ELT), data modeling, coded infrastructure etc.);
• Extensive knowledge of and hands-on experience with a BI tool such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, IBM Cognos, SAP Business Object etc;
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse Architecture and modeling of data models;
• Understanding the customer and able to translate their business into business insight;
• You are a good conversation partner for your colleagues and you can adjust to the relevant level of knowledge;
• Teamplayer & technical Lead (strong personality);
• Fluent in English, both orally and in writing;
• Teamplayer / front runner;
• Hands-on and pro active.

Candidate preferably also has experience with:

• Tableau certification;
• Other BI tooling knowledge;
• Proven experience in setting up dashboarding in a large enterprise environment;
• Working Agile using the Scrum framework;
• Experience with cloud computing is an advantage.
