Suttons Group are a family owned and run global logistics business that have seen huge growth this past year. We now have a permanent vacancy for a Tank Planner to join our Global Fleet Planning Team based in either Hamburg, Antwerp or Rotterdam.This is a hybrid role with the flexibility of working from office and from home.*The Role*The Tank Planner will be responsible for the asset planning in Mainland Europe. This person will be part of the global fleet planning team supporting the Business Optimisation Manager in developing processes in order to enhance planning efficiency and build improved synergies between all global regions with the main goal to establish globally balanced tank container flows.*Key Accountabilities*• Planning of tanks in designated areas and ensuring for safe and legal compliance of all equipment planned and utilised to match Customer orders/requirements• Monitor and improve the depot performances in the designated areas, developing processes, streamlining opportunities and eliminating non-value added activities• Collaborate with the Sales Team and provide early warnings on negative/low margin business• Assist the Sales and Ops Team in setting priorities when necessary• Minimizing repositioning spend and reducing overall time in depot• Liaise with Sales and Operational Team to make sure all tank requirements are met for each load• Working with the functional Maintenance, Procurement and Operations Teams, actively seeking out opportunities to reduce the downtime of the tank container fleet• Ensure, in collaboration with the Global Fleet Planning Team, for the optimum use of specialised equipment such as baffled tanks and/or matching customer specific requirements such as prior cargo needs*Skills & Experience*• Excellent interpersonal skills and a relationship builder• A strong communicator - both verbal and written• Ability to plan, prioritise, work to deadlines, without supervision and on their own initiative• Stable and reliable• High levels of drive and enthusiasm• Dynamic and proactive• Numerate and IT literate• Good understanding of tank container operations• Learns quickly, able to develop a good knowledge of the organisation and its people• Influential and impactful• Ability to develop people so that good progression planning can be implemented*Reward & Benefits*You will be rewarded with a competitive and industry leading salary. 20+ days holiday plus public holidays.
