For one of our customers located in Ridderkerk we are looking for an Accounting Manager. This is a full-time position in an international company. They deliver a broad array of onboard and shoreside technical support. With the Global HQ in the US and one of the European HQ's you will be responsible for the EMEA Region.The Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day finance and accounting operations for one or more branches or legal entities within a designated geographic region. The responsibilities include the monthly close process, production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensuring that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.ResponsibilitiesManage and oversight of accounting processes and proceduresComplete monthly financial closing process tasks within required timelineMonitor and analyze accounting data, distribute financial reports, including balance sheets and income statement, within required timelineSupport the corporate finance team's preparation of monthly and annual financial statementsResponsible for the preparation of all required general ledger reconciliations on a monthly basisManage annual audit with outside audit firm, including interim audit workManage maintenance of fixed asset recordsManage capex spentReview, approve, and post designated geographic region journal entries into accounting software system on a monthly basisMaintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal, state and/or local policies and directives, and current accounting standardsEnforce proper accounting methods, policies and principlesCoordinate procedures for activities such as budget administration and accounting. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actionsCoordinate, and complete various special projectsMeet financial accounting objectivesEstablish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactionsProfile6+ years' prior Accounting or Finance experience with a Bachelor DegreeKnowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulationsPrior experience with JDEAbility to work in a fast-paced environment which is constantly changingThorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principlesHigh attention to detail and accuracyHighly organized and ability to prioritizeSupervisory skills, decision making capabilities, training and mentoringOffer€ 65.000,- to € 75.000,- gross salary including holiday payment and 13th month25 days of holiday allowanceInterested?
