AKEEP STARTALK Social Media Associate

Goal of the Project: AKEEP VISTA Summer Associate Program is an education-focused program that provides multicultural and multilingual education programs to students. Korean is considered a critical language that is essential to U.S. national security and economic prosperity, and it is crucial that Alabama students are given the opportunity to learn and understand the Korean language and culture. Korean as a Second (KSL) programming is offered in the summer to educate students in low-income communities, minority groups, and underrepresented immigrants in the greater Montgomery area and 2) to empower and motivate students to achieve her/his best academic excellence and aim for becoming a contributing global leader.

Member Duties : Member Activity 1) Comprehend A-KEEP's mission, programs, and projects either established or in the pipelines and its social media practices 2) Collaborate with staff and participants to comprehend accurate operation and stories 3) Research and reach out to the target populations and potential beneficiaries of low-income students, minorities, underrepresented immigrants, and communities affected by Language Access for Every Student Succeeds Act 4) Increase the target populations knowledge to increase participation numbers for the programs 5) Implement Social media strategy 6) Improve and publish the updated content regularly via Social Media Platforms 7) Participate or assist KSL Summer Day Camp program to experience, and comprehend the Program, then build a relationship with staff, volunteers, and participants 8) Revise and improve the VAD for incoming A-KEEP Summer VISTA volunteers
