Summary
The Secure Processing Solutions (SPS) Account Manager is responsible for creating and sustaining new design wins, bookings and revenues for the specific geographical region for Mercury's Secure Processing IP and Hardware solutions. Bookings will be driven directly as well as coordination with the Strategic Accounts Organization. The successful candidate will be a team oriented player who can sell technical solutions and still execute tactical goals. The SPS Account Manager will be able to upsell and create interest for other Mercury products and solutions.
The Account Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, Sometimes, you will be expected to work on weekends for critical events, programs, shows or travel to customers/partner meetings. Travel is a requirement of the role.

We have a number of functional teams that come together through communication and trust to sell OneMercury technology successfully into the Aerospace and Defense Marketplace. Strategic Accounts focuses on our core customers, Product Line Sales focuses on each individual business unit acting as sales specialists, Business Development creates demand in the right areas early in areas we have high probability of winning, Channel Management integrates indirect sales into the mix without causing channel conflict and Capture keeps us aligned and on track to win. The AMS Account Manager is a critical part of this highly efficient engine.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
The SPS Account Manager possesses leadership skills and suggests ideas for the company's development. They should be able to direct a channel with multiple accounts and partners. They promote teamwork and camaraderie amongst staff. They are able to communicate well and document reports. They possess good interpersonal skills and are positive and encouraging towards co-workers.
The Account Manager needs to be fluent in Mercury, the business structure, people and process required to accomplish day to day tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
Mercury Systems, with a proven track record within military, telecom, C4ISR companies, is seeking an Account Manager located in the Eastern US. This person is responsible for driving all sales activities and revenue within the specified Eastern Regional territory.
Oversees the development of sales growth objectives, strategies, advertising and promotional programs and ensures their execution in their given territory. Individual will provide oversight, to the efforts of the area sales representatives and technical staff, working with both current and prospective customers. Evaluates performances of key national accounts and provides guidance and counsel to the Mercury Sales leadership team in how to be more effective in the company sales efforts. Candidate is responsible to coordinate all selling activities, with Business development Commercial Product Sales efforts to maximize sale effectiveness.
POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, Implement and maintain a successful sales methodology cycle for Mercury's Secure Processing Solutions
- Introduce tactical sales and account plans to internal management staff
- Develop, implement maintain a growth oriented profitable customer base that is supportive of the company direction
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales methods, costs and results.
- Prepare/monitor accurate and timely performance and activity reports for senior management
- Provides leadership direction to area sales representative efforts to ensure continuing growth in that portion of the business
- Forecast bookings and design win information as required by the management team
- Assists Marketing in the sales support functions which produces collateral, trade shows and creates webinar tools
- Directly manage select critical accounts. Establish and implement short and long-term sales goals and objectives for these accounts
- Participate in the development of new project proposals. Evaluates competitive intelligence and implement customer quotes, contract reviews and sales dashboards that are accurate timely
- Manage the preparation and delivery of sales materials, exhibits and promotional programs that support customer and sales function profitable growth
- Represent the company at various community, trade association and/or business meetings to promote the company, its products and brand awareness.
- Must perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Minimum/Basic Job Qualifications (skills, work experience, education/credentials):
- Degree BSEE / MSEE or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years Technical Sales Experience or in a Systems Security Engineering Field
- Proven success in driving profitable growth business in a consistent effective manner
- Demonstrated excellence in driving positive change and to communicate the compelling need for change/improvement with management and staff
- The ideal candidate will not only have an understanding and have experience selling Secure Systems for use in Aerospace and Defense applications but have a basic understanding of computer hardware, Cyber and Hardware security requirements, and IP Sales so as to be able to upsell the entire Mercury Systems portfolio.
- Demonstrated competencies in structuring sales targets, revenue expectations, establishing contracts and skilled in negotiations
- Strong personal skill sets that work well in a sales environment, dealing with
a diverse customer base - Proven competencies in excel, Word, power point and ERP system software
Excellent oral and written communication skills - DoD Clearance Required
