Position Description

  • Process load plan daily and verify accuracy of orders in the WMS
  • Ensure customer service team to provide prompt communication with carriers and stores concerning trailer pools, load statuses, and any other inquiries
  • Monitor, investigate, and coordinate with support teams to resolve EDI errors
  • Extensive contact with the customer as well as carriers and will need to communicate verbally
  • and in writing with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Must become a systems super user (Infor, Yardview) and drive efficiencies through systemic improvements.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service key performance indicators
  • Understands and communicates company, division, and department procedures and
  • requirements.
  • Understands and interprets customer requirements and provides appropriate training, reports
  • and/or service.
  • Interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising
  • And recognizing performance; issuing Corrective Action; addressing complaints and resolving
  • problems.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within the department
  • Solicit feedback and modify actions as appropriate to continually focus on improvements of
  • his/her processes in order to ensure the customer's needs are met for high-quality, cost
  • effective logistics services.
  • Maintain a clean, professional and safe working environment by meeting or exceeding SCLS
  • corporate safety goals
  • Promote constant and measurable improvement; teach and facilitate SCLS' culture of continuous improvement
  • Effectively communicate SCLS goals, expectations, areas for improvement and successes to
  • associates

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of supervisory experience OR an Associate's degree and at least four (4) years of supervisory experience OR High School Diploma/GED and at least six (6) years of supervisory experience. All supervisory experience ideally performed in an office or warehouse environment.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, web-based
  • and job specific software applications
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to influence department and implement and manage change
  • Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals by listening,
  • sharing ideas and appreciating others' efforts
  • Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; possess solid judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to function in a high-stress environment while focusing on the of operational goals
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities
