The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.
As part of Wells Fargo Auto, the Auto Retail Sales Manager (RSM) will lead a high performing team of Auto Relationship Managers responsible for managing relationships of medium to large and/or complex high producing auto dealer accounts within the assigned region. This leader will ensure growth and development of new and existing auto dealer relationships for both franchise and independent auto dealerships. Coordinates and enhances contacts with major auto dealer accounts/customers. Implements business development programs to attract and retain customers. Ensures processes within the region/market territories support corporate objectives along with adhering to policies/regulations. Handles escalated issues that arise within team.
Responsibilities include:
- Requires frequent travel within an assigned region. Must reside in the assigned region.
- Uphold, support, foster and engage in Wells Fargo Vision and Values
- Create quarterly business plans for the region and document monthly progress to plans, adjusting where needed
- Development and execution of strategy within the region
- Manage, coach and lead a team of ARM's in assigned market
- Strong ability to coach assigned ARM's to high performance
- Oversee follow-up process of ARM including applications, dealer sign-ups, dealer performance, and all accounts receivable
- Conduct weekly staff meetings and regular 1:1s with each ARM
- Foster customer partnerships - both internal and external
- Demonstrate effective expense management
- Manage and monitor all risk items associated with all dealer relationships

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relationship management sales experience
- 3+ years of auto finance experience
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications
- Auto finance experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Leadership experience including; coaching, training, and mentoring
- Good analytical skills including strategically analyzing data and diagnosing opportunities/interventions
- Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
- Strong customer relationship management skills
- Strong prospecting, sales, negotiation, and influence skills
- Ability to identify risk exposures and propose solutions
- Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
Job Expectations
- Ability to travel and have residency in assigned territory
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
- Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day
