Instrumentation & Electrical Controls (I&EC) () - Huntsville, AL Where the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a professional like you to provide instrument, electrical and controls engineering expertise to the Huntsville site. In this role, you will assure proper design, installation, startup, maintenance and repair of instrumentation, electrical equipment, and process control systems according to regulatory and BASF standards. You will support maintenance, operations, and capital project activities while ensuring a culture of continuous improvement employing DMAIC and LEAN Manufacturing tools.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success

* Leveraging your educational background in Electrical Engineering (or a similar discipline) and your professional experience in electrical and automation or controls, you will direct I&EC functions for capital projects including, but not limited to, scoping, estimating, planning, and scheduling.
* Your solid understanding of electrical and instrument equipment and plant manufacturing processes will be a valued asset as you deliver troubleshooting support and recommendations to operations and maintenance on equipment repair/reliability, including emergency work reviews.
* Your strong commitment to workplace safety will be essential as you drive compliance with all environmental, safety and health (EHS) requirements.
* You will be accountable for leading the development of future automation projects through oversight of strategy, design, programming, maintenance, and HMI software/programming

Through your strong technical competencies, you will play a key role in engineering design and EHS reviews for capital projects.
