The Planning & Guidance Desk provides a centralized, cross-business sales, planning and guidance tool methodology and sales support to all of PWI financial representatives in order to broaden and deepen representatives' knowledge of Fidelity's planning and guidance tool offering including financial planning solutions and improved interaction skills resulting in increased sales opportunities in the market. The team works with the branch, phone and workplace management leadership to ensure overall success. The team supports over 3,000 Personal Workplace Investing (PWI) associates and will act as a resource and provide education and sales training through individual and group coaching sessions and meetings. The team provides planning & guidance subject matter expertise at all levels of the organization, consult with the leadership teams and exhibit proactive sales strategies that lead to increased revenue through their aligned region.
Personal Workplace Investing (PWI) is increasingly relying on value added planning and guidance to deepen our customers' relationships by helping them develop actionable plans to help achieve their financial goals. Fidelity's planning and guidance tools are part of the underlying platform that enables this important offering, which is seeing increased demand as boomers approaching retirement face important and complex financial decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, sales, methodology and training support to PWI associates.
- Direct support of the Foundational Four and the Wealth Planning Overview content as well as current training platforms
- Serve as a planning and guidance subject matter expert to provide direction and support for future guidance/ advice strategies and planning tool designs
- Build and maintain business relationships with PWI leadership and business partners supporting business plan needs
- Provide consistent and effective business representation for issues relating to the quality and functionality of Fidelity planning tools
- Develop escalation process to provide prompt and accurate information to key business units
- Collect/ analyze data to provide quality reporting and communicate effectively to business units to assist in improving/ supporting Fidelity's guidance offering
- Drive and support national initiatives and work with Fidelity leaders throughout the organization
- Provide financial planning expertise to client facing Fidelity associates
Education and Experience:
- Professional designations such as CFP, ChFC, CLU, CRPC a plus
- Fidelity branch experience and/or Workplace Investing experience a plus
- Minimum five years of comprehensive financial planning expertise is required
- Expert level experience and understanding of financial/investment planning process and knowledge of strategies in areas of retirement planning, education funding, estate planning and insurance planning
- FINRA Series 7, 63, 66, and insurance licenses are required - 9/10 designation is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
- Solid comprehension of the Foundational Four and Wealth Planning Overview content
- Comprehension of and ability to demonstrate Fidelitys coaching models is a plus
- Superior sales, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership and motivation skills
- Excellent presentation skills, both in creation and delivery
- Extraordinary time management and organizational skills
- Problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a constantly changing and highly fast paced environment
- Relationship building/ networking skills are necessary
- Ability to influence others through training and coaching and assist associates in gaining understanding and acceptance of complex ideas
- Strong aptitude and demonstrated passion for Fidelitys suite of financial planning tools
- Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Ribbit and database skills are a plus

$85,000 - $150,000This position is eligible for incentive compensation or an annual bonus opportunity.
