This position will report to the Program Chief Engineer and the Program Manager. In this position, the Deputy Chief Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following focus areas:

Oversee and adjudicate issues encountered at System Level Integration and Test
Lead component and system failure investigations and present plans/status/findings/remedies to FRRB and Customer boards.
Support Program B&P efforts
Lead the design and development of vehicle systems
Develop (as required) and ensure implementation of comprehensive Program plans and Customer contract requirements.
Co-Lead all major Program technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
Support presentation of key technical issues at internal Flight Test readiness reviews (IIRR, IDR, IFRR, FRCR)
Support presentation of key technical issues at Customer Flight Test readiness reviews (IERB/JERB/MRWG, MAR, MRR, CE Review, SLRR, ERR, MER, EMER)
Ensure that design changes in hardware and software are compatible with existing component, subsystem, and Customer requirements, particularly across all engineering boundaries. Implement effective methods to quickly identify and address system impacts of issues and design changes.
Provide direct supervision of Engineering Leads and technical IPTs
Perform EVMS functions (CAM) for Program level WBS elements.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a BS degree in Engineering and nine (9) years of related experience. Proficiency in the Northrop Grumman Space Systems LMDS LV Quality Management System is required. Supervisory experience or previous Lead Engineer experience is required.

U.S. Citizenship is required

Active Secret Security Clearance is required

Ability to travel is require

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with EEE parts control, materials, and processes including relevant industry and government specifications is highly desired. Previous experience in Systems Engineering is desired. Direct experience in vehicle Integration and Test is desired.

Salary Range: 101200 - 151800

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
