Job description

Health Care Recruiter

Our Health Care Recruiter is responsible for the recruitment process primarily for clinical support staff for North Country HealthCare (NCHC) but could also include assistance on provider candidate development. The scope of work begins with a potential candidate's initial contact and extends to the start of their onboarding as a new hire. Candidate pipeline development will allow for networking and creativity in the role.

A typical day will include some or all of the following:

  • Working closely with hiring managers and directors throughout the organization to successfully recruit, interview, and make offers to candidates at any NCHC location. This includes standing meetings, periodical travel to all NCHC sites, and maintaining steady and consistent communication among all parties concerning candidate statuses.
  • Developing and utilizing a variety of candidate pipeline sourcing strategies. Revising and re-writing job ads and job descriptions as necessary for accuracy and appeal. Managing job advertising and posting activities internally and externally.
  • Responding to applicants in a timely manner. Phone screening candidates to determine quality and fit for the organization. Making recommendations to leadership and hiring managers about how to proceed.
  • Scheduling and hosting interviews for candidates. Making outside arrangements as necessary. Finishing reference checks.
  • Responding to all candidates after their interview. If an offer of employment is extended, preparing all related documents and facilitating negotiations in a timely, professional manner. Formally notifying all necessary NCHC staff once offer has been accepted and working closely with the Credentialing team throughout a candidate's pre-boarding process.
  • Consistently updating Applicant Tracking System (iSolvedHire) with applicant/candidate statuses and communications. Continuously and accurately updating team on new information, data capture, candidate requirements, and reporting.
  • Conducting administrative duties as necessary.

To be successful in this role, it is essential to have high volume health care recruiting experience. Must be highly adaptable as hiring directions can change on a frequent basis.

We do require a person with at least a Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience - or equivalent education through experience and related recruiting experience. Preference given to candidates with experience as an RN, LPN, or CMA.

A complete submission will include a cover letter explaining qualifications for the position and a resume.
