OVERALL FUNCTION
The Associate Private Wealth Advisor is a client facing role that specializes in client relationship management for existing clients, and onboarding of new clients in our Gilbert, AZ office. They ensure the continuation of efficient, effective, and organized client experience. This individual is the client's main point of contact, responding to service requests, participating in existing client meetings, and eventually leading existing client meetings on their own.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Participating in client meetings and eventually leading client meetings, developing deep relationships with existing and new clients
· Identifying new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients
· Coordinating and scheduling client review meetings
· Explaining investment products and performance to clients, and recommending portfolio fund options
· Executing follow up; correspondence, case notes, tasks, new account paperwork, etc.
· Maintaining daily task system for account follow-ups and service requirements
· As the main point of contact for clients, responding to client inquiries by e-mail, mail, or phone
· Following up with clients for data needed to build their financial plan. Responsible for data download to the financial planning software and regularly update plans in preparation for client meetings
· Discussing tax consequences, costs, and advisory fees
· Ensuring compliance requirements are implemented and followed
· Manage the implementation of new client portfolios, executing initial and subsequent asset allocation model management
· Processing proposal amendments, monitoring alerts, and managing annual advisory review compliance
· Managing the execution of trades and systemic trade-related issues
· Leading implementation of new processes that will benefit the clients and team members, including staying up to date on technology enhancements
· Organize and delegate tasks among teammates, leveraging the Pillar team to assist with execution of requests such as:
o Create investment proposals, Morningstar reports, and Consolidated Client View report in preparation for client/prospect meeting
o Working directly with client to open investment accounts by gathering data, generating paperwork, sending electronic signature, and communicating with client regarding the status
o Monitoring, processing and following up on asset transfers and on initial and subsequent funding of advisory accounts.
o Accepting redemptions/withdrawals from clients
o Process investment and insurance service requests such as fund disbursements, beneficiary changes, loans, address or phone number changes, account transfers, rollovers, and trades
· Other projects as assigned by Director of Operations
QUALIFICATIONS
· AZ State life insurance licensed or gain licensing within 60 days of employment
· Currently or pursuing Series 7 license and Series 63 license (Must obtain within 90 days of employment)
· Has interest in learning on a continuous basis; opportunity to obtain professional designations such as CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
· A strong background in high touch client service
· Previous experience with financial planning
· Extensive experience with retail investments
· Extensive knowledge of various account types including trusts, various IRA types, 401(k), defined benefit, etc.
· Knowledge of U.S. tax system and tax treatment of various investments and account types
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
· Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and take action as appropriate
· Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work both independently and in a team
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
