Director Of Maintenance

Job description

The Director of Maintenance will perform the following duties at the Falcon Field, Mesa, AZ hangar location.

• Perform diversified duties in maintenance oversight, including but not limited to: mentoring maintenance staff, annual reviews, scheduling, aircraft records and logistics staff management.
• Effectively communicate and interface with FAA, DOT, ATF, internal Directors, outside vendors, and government contract clients.
• Successfully carry out extensive work in administration, management, and quality control.
• Responsible for all aircraft records and reporting.
• Involved in planning, scheduling, and coordinating aircraft maintenance needs.
• Management of the Quality Assurance and control systems, as well as Logistics department.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a licensed A&P mechanic with extensive experience with turbo-prop airplanes
• Must have ten years or more of aviation maintenance management and leadership experience.
• Must have excellent oral communication and writing skills
• Works well under pressure and with limited supervision
• Must be able to demonstrate high proficiency with MS Office to include PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Able to pass a Federal background check and hold a government security clearance.

 Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• PT6 engine experience and/or turbo prop airplane knowledge preferred.
• Experience with ejection seats, MX-15 sensors, and weapons systems.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of military airworthiness and FAA Experimental regulations.
