Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Cost Estimating Analyst to support the Guns Operating Unit located in Mesa, AZ location.

Position Summary:

The Sr. Principal Cost Estimating Analyst is responsible for partnering with the proposal manager and the rest of the proposal team to respond to customers request for pricing (RFP). The role is responsible for collecting data from other proposal team members to generate cost estimates. The Cost Estimating Analyst will prepare and assist the proposal manager with delivering presentations in management pricing reviews. cost volumes.

The role will require prioritization to work on a variety of proposals during the same time period. Candidate must be able to review request for proposals and derive requirements as well as identify risks and opportunities to the cost estimate. The selected candidate must work well in cross functional teams and be able to make timely decisions possibly without 100% of the data available. The analyst must develop business cases, participate in pricing reviews, and be comfortable presenting to senior leadership. The analyst will be required to participate in the customer negotiation process, support potential audit activities, and prepare cost volume reports.

Required Qualifications:

10 years of experience with a Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting or 8 years of experience with a Masters.
2 years of cost estimating/ cost proposal preparation
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with past experience building complex spreadsheets

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office with capability to learn cost estimating system operations (Pro-Pricer, Cost Point)
Knowledge of FAR/DFAR/CAS
Experience with International contracts
Negotiation experience

Salary Range: 89500 - 134300

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
