The Blackline System Administrator will be primarily responsible for the Blackline accounting and consolidation tool, providing day-to-day support, governance and oversight of the application as well as data management, certification controls and risk management of the company's balance sheet exposure.


  • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Acts as the Blackline system administrator and subject matter expert for 7 business units of a $1B+ organization.
  • Optimizes the Account Reconciliation, Transaction Matching, Journal entry and Task Management modules, including but not limited to account setup, match rule construction, metrics, journal entry management, task management, communications to users and leadership and other functionality configurations.
  • Manages and enforces business policies related to reconciliations and works to ensure users complete reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Incorporate new acquisitions/new locations, setting up in blackline, training, fully integrating into processes and procedures. Identify automation opportunities and create road map for implementing based on biggest efficiency gain for effort required.
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of all Blackline requests from users and process owners, including new user set-up, sub role definitions and dependent validation.
  • Provides ongoing end-user support trouble-shooting and resolving issues, as well as training to ensure that Blackline is operating efficiently across the organization.
  • Understand and maintain company close schedule, custom frequencies and user-defined functions.
  • Utilize the close management and variance analysis tool set to monitor and predict issues or areas for concern.
  • Create dashboard reporting within Blackline to help maintain on-time accounting cycle functions


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology

· 3+ years of experience as a Blackline system administrator preferred

· Familiar with multi basis of reporting (e.g., GAAP, Operational and STAT)

· Experience configuring match set rules, approval workflows, risk ratings and provisioning user access

· Experience with process improvement projects and continuous improvement methodologies with the ability to optimize the use of Blackline modules.
