The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for supporting all aspects of long-term business strategy, leading discussions and reviews with buyers, providing reporting, analytics, content monitoring, insights, support, and replenishment planning for assigned customers. Requires a self-motivated approach, willingness to adapt and learn, while also possessing strong commitment to team environment dynamics and collaboration across multiple departments under the direction and supervision of more senior members of the teams. The position will utilize both end customer and internal data, analytic capabilities to build dashboards, evaluate performance, manage replenishment needs and provide insight and recommendation to the leadership and sales team to drive actions and grow sales.


  • Utilize systems such as retailer vendor portal, SPS or internal data to develop accurate dashboard reporting and provide actionable insights to the leadership and sales team.
  • Develop and deliver all sales reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc sales reports.
  • Review demand forecasts and provide analysis and recommendations for adjustments to allocation flow plans to maximize sales and minimize carryover inventory
  • Manage timely and accurate communication of key business reports to leadership and sales leads while working to identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Provide team with fact-based consumer trending insights supporting efforts related to maximizing sales and profit.
  • Notice and recommend areas for penetration, including new product categories, feature or price point gaps, and line extensions.
  • Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and overseas teams to create demand planning, and maintain allocation flow plans and make recommendations on inventory decisions.
  • Plan and mange business line review for key accounts.
  • Develop presentation decks for customers when needed
  • Handle and process samples and forms as needed
  • Item and content Set Up and maintenance (Account specific)
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date analysis of competition product, pricing, and sales techniques (account specific)
  • Comp shop and market map (Account/Category specific)
. Requirements:

Competencies:

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant business experience required, with a focus on ecommerce business analytics and ecommerce supply chain management, or experience with Walmart
  • Excellent computer skills are required with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and ability to report, graph and present complex information
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and clear actionable recommendations to influence business strategy
  • Motivated and curious approach to work, while also possessing strong commitment to team environment dynamics
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement are essential
  • Must be highly organized
  • Cross-functional team player (sales, creative services, product development, etc.); ability to respectfully challenge the team to deliver upon customer commitments.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
