Description:
The Supply Specialist has site responsibility for a variety of purchased parts and is a recognized expert in overcoming near term obstacles that ensure adequate supply of purchased materials for the Integrated Supply Chain organization for a major customer location in Clearwater Florida. The Supply Specialist will attend and take actions from various site meetings such as tiered-accountability meetings. The Supply Specialist is responsible to coordinate with buyers to resolve all emergency site part shortages. The Supply Specialist is the link between Global Procurement and site Operations. The Supply Specialist will coordinate with Global Planning, Procurement, Sourcing, Operations, and other functions to permanently resolve chronic part issues.

Primary Responsibilities
Part Shortage resolution
Coordinate to ensure that potential part supply problems are identified and resolved.
Coordinate resolution of receiving discrepancy issues
Coordinate resolution of supplier paperwork & certs issues
Provide site with daily status on part shortage issues/resolutions
Provide data and analysis for poorly performing parts / suppliers and act as supporting role in defining the solution
Provide site escalation for Engineering Change Order (ECO) Requests
Escalate Customer-specific On-Time-To-Request (OTTR) miss issues

Risk Management:
Manage indirect material issues in emergencies
Manage Line down issues for Production
Manage site-based supplier recovery
Place and manage PO's for emergency and gap buys
Issue Return-To-Vendor (RTV) / Rework order PO's, both Inter-divisional and Supplier

Communication:
Work with Global Procurement and scheduling organizations to ensure delivery commitments are met.
Work with procurement expeditors, schedulers, and Global Planning to overcome near term part constraints
Support the continued progression of Lean Operating System
Mentor and help to lead the Site Supply Specialist team
Completes work without supervision
Expert on policies and procedures within Materials Management

Skills:
Strong leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Strong decision making, problem solving, and organization skills
Must be highly motivated and able to work in fast-paced environment
Ability to lead changes and establish operational metrics and key indicators for process control, communication, and performance management.
Demonstrated ability to lead a cross functional team within a factory environment

Education:
Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline with 3 years of Integrated Supply Chain experience. In lieu of degree may consider a minimum of 7 years' experience in Integrated Supply Chain

Desired:
Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
Previous experience as a Buyer or Planner in a complex manufacturing environment
Some experience in understanding the procurement process, terms and conditions, negotiation, RFQ, and government contract procurement requirements
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, SAP experience is a plus
